After the win on Saturday, we rented a car and drove to Swan River Valley to explore some of the vineyards close to Perth. Some of the bigger producers were very predictable, but we managed to find some good, smaller producers that we enjoyed visiting. With the exception of a few brilliant cabs, we felt that the sweet wines produced in the valley were the best trademark of the region. We had an excellent lunch at Sitella, one of the prize-winning restaurants in the valley.
