Wine-tasting in the Nuy Valley

The weekend was spent in the Nuy Valley close to Paarl. The rich history of the environment is reflected on murals painted by a Russian artist at the Leipzig guesthouse we stayed at. During the weekend we had a snoek dinner, floated down the Breede river on a river boat and got an olive oil education. It was the wine, however, that were the stars of the occasion. We found the blended wines from Alvi's Drift and the luscious red wines from the Conradie family vineyards really special.
