Agent cash-out points
On our way to the Mount Kenya park, we stopped at a small village. I counted at least five mobile money agents, representing mPesa, Equity and others. I witnessed a transaction (Cash-in) in real life and once again realized how this industry has transformed society fundamentally.
Yes indeed an wonderful experience especially for "dark" Africa. M-Commerce is continuing providing services that were classified as "life style" ones years ago yet M-Commerce has become the way of doing business in the 3rd world. Having been part of that M-Pesa initially team one marvels at the way it was grown; integrating to the traditional banking capability to state it is at. Enjoy Mt Kenya - what a nice place!! Fond memories Walter MHLONGO wmhlongo@gmail.com
The impact of mobile commerce in Africa is a great life experience. Not a life style capability as it is in the developed world but a great enabler indeed for day to day livelihood. As these economies grow, so will mCommerce help drive business .
Why am I posting this information and pictures of my life, my friends and my family on the web, for any-one to see? Well, for a start, I am comfortable with who I am and the relationships that I have with people around me. I would rather post the core information about myself on the web, than waiting for someone else to compile it.. and get it wrong. Also, I want to share this information with my friends and with people that I know. If you have stumbled on this blog and you don't know me, why don't you introduce yourself by sending me a message.
